Using the data below, describe all intervention strategies employed by the school to improve the academic performance of students identified by the early warning system. Palm Cove Elementary uses data-driven strategies to boost the academic performance of at-risk students identified through the Early Warning System. To address phonics deficits, the school utilizes Benchmark Advance, while reading comprehension deficits are supported through Benchmark Advance and supplemental resources from the iReady Magnetics Curriculum. Students receive targeted support through Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions, where they are pulled into small groups for focused instruction led by both Academic Support staff and Classroom Teachers. In mathematics, small-group instruction is also a priority, with Academic and Classroom Teachers working together to address specific areas of weakness identified through the Math Diagnosis and Intervention System. Beyond the school day, Extended Learning Opportunities (ELO) provide additional targeted support, while differentiated small-group instruction during the school day ensures that core deficits are systematically addressed. Teacher growth is supported through ongoing professional development that strengthens capacity in intervention strategies, data analysis, and differentiated instruction. At the same time, Palm Cove maintains a strong focus on high-quality Tier 1 instruction as the foundation for student success. To support the whole child, the school emphasizes parental involvement, community partnerships, and behavioral and social-emotional supports that promote resilience, engagement, and positive school experiences. Progress is continuously monitored through monthly data chats, ensuring that instructional decisions are grounded in real-time student data. Teacher collaboration in Professional Learning Communities further reinforces a shared commitment to student success. Transparent communication with all stakeholders builds trust and accountability, fostering a culture in which every student — especially those identified through the Early Warning System — is supported to reach their fullest potential. |
