Using the data below, describe all intervention strategies employed by the school to improve the academic performance of students identified by the early warning system. The master schedule at Liberty is strategically designed to prioritize the needs of Exceptional Student Education (ESE) students, ensuring they are appropriately placed in classes that best support their academic success. All grade levels participate in a structured Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS)/Response to Intervention (RTI) cycle, which occurs every six weeks and focuses on students’ progress in reading, mathematics, and behavior.
During RTI/MTSS team meetings, staff review the academic and behavioral performance of students not meeting grade-level expectations. These meetings emphasize data-informed decision-making, utilizing ongoing progress monitoring and intervention data to guide instructional planning and support strategies.
Students identified as Tier 2, reading approximately one year below grade level, receive targeted small group instruction using the Benchmark curriculum. Tier 3 students, performing more than one year below grade level in reading, receive intensive intervention from resource teachers using a variety of evidence-based programs including UFLi Foundations, Reading Horizons, Benchmark Advanced Skill-Based Targeted Intervention, and SIPPS.
In mathematics, Tier 2 and Tier 3 students receive differentiated intervention support through resources such as Savvas, MDIS, enVision Reteach, and the i-Ready Math Toolbox. The math coach and math resource teacher provide push-in support services to ensure consistent and aligned instruction.
All academic interventions are aligned with the school’s Identification and Intervention Decision Tree to ensure systematic and equitable support. Additionally, Liberty’s instructional staff will continue to receive professional development in the Science of Reading throughout the 2025–2026 school year to strengthen instructional practices and improve student outcomes.
