Based on the data above  our attendance team is working diligently to reduce the number of students in Grades K-5. We jnow if students are not in school they can't learn what they need effectively. So teachers, school social worker, school conselor and administration work closely to decrease student absences. We are recognizing and celebrating with students and families Great attendance, We are also providing students/families with wrap around services if they have additional needs that prevent students from coming to school regularly.
ELA/Reading Defiency- Our teachers have been trained in UFLI and are using these strategies during the intervention block. The Intervention Block is embedded in their schedules to give students an additional opportunity to decrease the achievement gap. The teaechers also have additional resources that they may use during the intervention block depending on what the students may need. We are using Haggery's (Phonics) Quick Reads (Fluency & Comprehension) Wordly Wise Vocabulary and our teacher assistants also work with students in small group to reiforce these skills.
