Using the data below, describe all intervention strategies employed by the school to improve the academic performance of students identified by the early warning system. Student data is tracked regularly through the implementation of S.W.A.G (Students with Academic Goals) Folders, which each student completes during one-on-one conferences with the teacher. Administration meets regularly with teachers to track the data and earmark students who might need intervention and monitor those who are receiving it. During these Data Chat meetings, the principal, assistant principal and teacher set SMART goals for groups of students determined to need interventions, and these goals are set as benchmarks to be reached throughout the year. Small group instruction is utilized by teachers to provide needed interventions for students. Combined with regular whole group instruction, this assures that Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 students are all being served based on their needs. In addition, regular RtI meetings are conducted involving administration, guidance, academic coaches, parents and teachers so that an extra layer of checks is maintained. During these sessions, intervention strategies being used for specific students are discussed and planned, and data from those students is analyzed. ESSER Teachers and Reading and Math Interventionists provide additional small group support/instructions to ALL Tier 3 students.Then the game plan for each student is adjusted accordingly. |
