Using the data below, describe all intervention strategies employed by the school to improve the academic performance of students identified by the early warning system.

Palmview Elementary employs a range of intervention strategies to enhance the academic performance of students identified by the early warning system. The leadership team, including the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) team, oversees student progress and makes data-driven instructional decisions.

After analyzing multiple data points, the leadership team evaluates whether the current interventions are effectively closing the achievement gap. If the data indicates that the interventions are insufficient, the team adjusts the intensity, frequency, duration, or nature of the interventions as needed. When students do not respond to interventions, they continue with core instruction, which includes explicit teaching across a developmental reading continuum. This encompasses comprehension, vocabulary, phonics, phonemic awareness, fluency, speaking, listening, and writing skills.
Additionally, students receive daily small group differentiated instruction tailored to their specific needs. Intensive interventions occur outside the reading block during a dedicated intervention period. The content and intensity of these interventions are guided by various data sources, including, iReady diagnostics, BCPS Decision Tree Part 2 Diagnostic Assessments, FAST PM1, FAST PM2, teacher observations, anecdotal records, formative assessments, and student writing samples.

To support small-group and one-on-one instruction, as well as intensive interventions, the following resources are utilized: Benchmark Advance Intervention, Magnetic Readers, Success Maker, and EnVision Intervention.
