High Quality Instruction

Early Warning Indicators

Using the data below, describe all intervention strategies employed by the school to improve the academic performance of students identified by the early warning system.

Our RtI/MTSS team plan is designed to provide academic and behavioral interventions and to monitor the interventions for students’ who may be struggling. The team has an education process that matches research/evidence-based instructional and intervention strategies and supports to student needs in an informed, ongoing approach for planning, implementing, and evaluating the effectiveness of instruction, curricular supports, and interventions. The team meets monthly by grade level to monitor student performance and referrals to the team. We will track the number of discipline incidents and categorize them accordingly. Our Guidance Counseling Department and Administration will prioritize student concerns and work collaboratively to address them during the MTSS/RtI meetings. Guidance Department creates and implements small groups based on student behavioral/academic needs. We will work with the classroom teachers to ensure proper implementation of interventions and strategies. Based on student needs Tier 1 –Tier 3 strategies will be implemented for each individual student. We will provide trainings for our teachers and staff through PLC’S and workshops. Students who need to move to Tier 2-3 will have specific monitoring plans. We will conduct data chats, conferences and progress monitoring with students, teachers and parents to celebrate and share student success.
