Early Warning Indicators

Using the data below, describe all intervention strategies employed by the school to improve the academic performance of students identified by the early warning system. We will improve primary ELA (Grades K–2) outcomes by strengthening foundational literacy skills through high-quality Tier 1 instruction, providing targeted support for lower quartile students, and fostering family and community engagement. Instructional Coaching & Teacher Support – Teachers in grades K–5 will be provided additional collaborative planning time with instructional coaches to design standards-aligned lessons. Coaches will be accountable for delivering timely, specific feedback following walkthroughs and observations to support instructional refinement. Targeted Interventions for Lower Quartile Students – Lower quartile students will receive more intensive support embedded within core instruction to address priority standards and skill gaps. Data-Driven Planning – Weekly PLCs and grade-level planning sessions will be used to analyze student performance data and develop differentiated instructional strategies to meet diverse learner needs. Student Ownership & Accountability – A schoolwide push will be implemented to increase student accountability through goal-setting, progress monitoring, and data tracking, empowering students to take ownership of their learning. In Grades 3–5, we will strengthen students’ comprehension and vocabulary development by enhancing the rigor and consistency of Tier 1 instruction, implementing targeted interventions for students in the lower quartile, and fostering strong family and community partnerships to support literacy at home. High-Quality Core Instruction – Increase the rigor and consistency of Tier 1 lessons by ensuring alignment to grade-level standards and incorporating evidence-based comprehension and vocabulary strategies. Targeted Interventions – Provide structured small-group and individualized support for lower quartile students to accelerate growth and close learning gaps. Professional Collaboration – Leverage professional planning days and instructional symposiums as opportunities for teachers to collaborate, share best practices, and refine instructional strategies that drive student achievement. Family & Community Engagement – Engage families and community partners in literacy initiatives to reinforce reading practices beyond the classroom.
