Using the data below, describe all intervention strategies employed by the school to improve the academic performance of students identified by the early warning system.

All of our students in PreK - 5th grade are a part of TIER 1 instruction for all core content areas.  If a student is not successful using our TIER 1 instruction we provide interventions through small group.  We use interventtions that are part of the Districts approved TIER 2 curriculum.  If a student is not successful in TIER 1, their name is submitted to beging the RTI process.  We have three instructional coaches that help support the teachers if a student is not being successful academically.  We dropped significantly in our learning gains and low 25 for math.  We have one teacher who is providing small group interventions to specific students.  The groups are fluid and change with the needs of the students.

For ELA we use Benchmark Advance as our Tier 1 instruction.  Benchmark Advance has an intervention component that we use for Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions when appropriate.  To support all students with extra support we utilize the Magnetic I-Ready reading book.  The Literacy coach has structured the IFC to match the lessons appropriately to the Benchmark Advance lessons.  For math we utilize the enVision Math series.  This series also includes an intervention component for students who need Tier 2 an Tier 3 supports. Additionally, the district provided us with access to the I-ready toolbox for Math to support students who need additional supports in Tier 2 and Tier 3 instruction.   For Science we are utilizing the new series of Discovery Education, as well as the district purchased the online platform Progress Learning for teachers to utilize as Tier 2 support.  

Teachers and staff use many different data points to determine the individuals needs of each student.  We use the State PM data, I-Ready diagnostic data, Beginning of the Year Science, Benchmark assessments for ELA, Topics ofr Math, and micros for Science.  Additionally, teachers use class work, exit tickets as well observations of the students as data points.  We meet each quarter as a team to discuss data with each classroom teacher.  Teams meets twice a month to plan for instruction and data is discussed first before the teachers begin to plan.  Additionally, we have been assigned several support personell from district departmenet to work with our teachers to build instructional capacity.  The district supports helps devleop professional learning for our teachers to help support the learning needs of our students.

We have two Meta Teacher Assistants that allow us to have targeted intervention for our students who speak another language.

We also have a full time counselor who helps us support our students with social emotional needs.  She works with indvidual groups of students, teaches lessons with in the classroom as well as makes herself available as needed to families.  

Attendance and mobility rate are two areas we look at with our students because these two areas factor in to a students overall success.  Administration works with our social worker and guidance counselor to provide to support to families who have attendance issues.  We added a Title 1 Community Liaison to our school staff to help support the academic and social needs of our students.
