By June 2026, the percentage of 9th and 10th grade English Language Learners (ELL) students scoring proficient or higher on the FAST ELA/Reading will increase from 12% to 16%. To be provided based on identified needs (based on classroom observation) and request Frequent data collection and analysis will enable proactive instructional adjustments that directly impact student learning. By identifying areas where students struggle, ELA teachers can tailor support strategies to enhance comprehension, fluency, and overall literacy skills. Ongoing tracking ensures accountability and allows for timely interventions that support continuous improvement in proficiency rates, ultimately leading to higher achievement on standardized assessments and overall academic success.

Evidence-based Intervention/Strategy 1 SAVAAS within the DLA Course: Regular assessments through SAVAAS will provide real-time insights into student comprehension and mastery of key literacy skills. Performance data will be reviewed to adjust instruction based on individual and group needs.

Evidence-based Intervention/Strategy 2 NWEA MAP Growth Assessments: Administering MAP Growth assessments will allow us to track student progress over time, identify trends, and make data-driven instructional decisions. Growth percentiles and proficiency benchmarks will be monitored to assess improvements in literacy.

Evidence-based Intervention/Strategy 3 Specialized ELA-ELL Courses Administering Selection Tests: ELL students in this course will undergo periodic selection tests to measure language development and proficiency gains on grade-level benchmarks. These assessments will help educators, ESOL coordinator, Literacy coach, and the administrator over ELA refine instructional approaches and implement targeted interventions to ensure targets are met.
